Our Bear

Boy have I been a bad blogger. I had planned on a update post on each boy and somehow got caught up in our busy summer that doesn't seem to be slowing down anytime soon. I will have to post a June month in review just to show where we have been and what we have been up to. For the mean time...on to Logan's blog post.

Logan is the cuddliest boy, which has thus earned him the nickname of bear, or Logabear (like Yogi Bear). Even as a baby, everyone would comment about how snugly he was. His little kissable chubby cheeks are still enough to make a mommy (or grandma...or Aunt Lawren) melt. He is the one most likely to try and push my buttons, but then he will smile and my heart is his...and he knows it. :) All in all, he is a great kid, except for bedtime when he will do anything to keep from sleeping. He jumps, talks, shouts for Parker and Chase to wake up...basically anything to drive me crazy. After I get on to him, he will bat those big brown eyes and say "I love you, Mommy." This kid is good. His poor teacher one day...ahh.

Logan is also the biggest sports fanatic around. Soccer, baseball, football, basketball...you name the sport and he loves it. He can hit the ball off the tee (and really far, I might add), shoot (and make) baskets, and can throw with the strongest arm I've ever seen. He is a natural, and his Daddy and Opa (a former coach) can not wait to see him play when he is old enough to join a team. Logan would crack all the parents on Reid's t-ball team up, because he would be sitting so still for the entire game, completely engrossed in it. And then, all the way home, he would drive me crazy as he would state over and over like a broken record "Reid t-ball over. Logan play t-ball too." To which I would reply, "Yes Logan. You can play t-ball one day too."

He is the worst eater of the bunch. Actually, he is a great eater, as long as it is things that he likes. This means no veggie, with the occasional carrot with ranch. He does like fruit, most meats, and any thing that is made with bread. I will be able to honestly tell his wife one day that I did try, because Parker eats a large variety of veggies and will usually ask for seconds on veggies before eating anything else. I will also tell her I am sorry because he is the pickiest eater, so good luck with cooking for him.

Logan is also the most independent. He will play by himself just as easily as he plays with others. He was also the slowest at talking, but now we can't get him to be quiet. Jason's theory with this is that Parker and Reid (who love to jab like their mother-he he) were always talking and Logan decided that like most men, he would only talk if he needed to say something, not to just hear himself talk. He also likes to read and sing, especially "The Hat Book" and "Old McDonald".

I just know that Logan will continue to amaze me as he grows up. His determination to do whatever he puts his mind to and willingness to try things that would scare his brothers, will take him on a great journey for sure. And I can't wait to watch it all unfold.

Consider them GONE!!!

Yep! As of Saturday, we are now foot loose and paci FREE...thanks to Build-A-Bear and some coercing. I am still in shock that the boys (namely Logan) did so well. Though they still ask about their pacis, they usually follow their question with "We big boys now. Paci in my dog (or giraffe in Chase's case)." So, now we have 4 new friends at our house (Reid got a dog too, since he had such a great year in Pre-K). Now the next step is potty training, which I stink at by the way, so if anyone wants to come and do the job for me, bring it on!

Decisions, Decisions...

Reid bringing Harry to life with his heart.

Parker rubbing Beep's heart on his arms so that he will be strong.

In goes paci #1...

Chase rubbing Giraffe's heart on his back so that Giraffe will always have his back.

Giving his heart a kiss

In goes paci #2...

Logan did relinquish his paci, but he was scared of the whole stuffing and bathing process, so his brothers made his dog, Doggie and then bathed Doggie for him.

Harry getting his first bath.

Giraffe needed a bath too. (Chase absolutely loved this part!)

Parker giving Beep a good cleansing.

We love our new friends! (And Mommy and Daddy love all of their BIG boys!)
