As if this week couldn't get any more exciting, my big baby starts Pre-K on Friday. I know that I will probably shed many tears that day, but really I am so excited for Reid and can't wait to see his mind grow this year! He loves his teacher already and cannot wait to go to school on Friday. (Mommy sob)
Seeing as how our lives are beginning to get busier, I decided to have a last week filled with fun things. Yesterday, after running errands (fun ones for me--maybe not for the boys, except for going to Toys-R-Us), I took the boys to McDonald's all by myself. They did wonderfully, so afterwards, I even let them play on the germ infested playground. All 4 had a blast! The only meltdown came when we had to leave. Chase decided he wasn't going to leave, so he sat down in that kid jelly leg form, only to be joined by Logan. I carried them out, with Reid to man Parker. I was quite a stress ball as we made it to the car. I began to question my intelligence at that point. What kind of crazy person takes 4 kids to lunch by themselves?
Today, we met Reid's friend Emily at the Splash Pad for some good water fun. Reid, Logan, and Chase were all soaking wet and had a wonderful time. Parker, on the other hand, had lots of fun too, but only his arms and legs got wet. He would not put his whole body in the fountains. After, we ended our fun day with shaved ice, which Parker proved that he loved, by eating everyone's treat.
As for the triplets, they turned 20 months on Tuesday. I can not believe that they are getting so big. I really noticed it when we got back from Jamaica. They are talking so much more now, using their words to ask for things that they want, and Chase and Parker are starting to form two-word sentences. One of my favorite things to see is when they give each other hugs. It is absolutely the sweetest thing.
Finally, here are some pictures from this past Saturday. I really need to get better at bringing the camera with me, because the splash pad would have made for some cute pictures (or maybe Jason will get a new camera, so that I can always have what is now the shared family/Jason's work camera with me).
Jason played Daddy on Saturday, while I went with my mother, sister, and sweet niece to the American Girl store for her birthday--which is another blog in itself, because it was so much fun getting to do girlie things for a day. Jason took the boys to the park all by himself, so at least I married someone who is just as crazy as I am!
(The quality isn't the best because he took these with his phone.)
