He's his Daddy's Boy

Today was Reid's last day of gymnastics, or as Jason likes to call it--strength training. With T-Ball now in full force, it was just too many things to keep up with and lug the trips to. Reid seems okay with stopping gymnastics, but I will be sad to miss out on my gab fest with Heather each week.

Anyway, halfway through gymnastics, the kids get ready to do their rotation on the trampoline. Reid's turn comes up and he stops jumping and I notice that one of his teachers is reaching into his back pocket of his wind pants. She helps him stuff whatever it is back into his pocket and then sends him on his way down the trampoline. It is then when I literally crack up out loud, because I realized that he had his fake shotgun shells from his toy gun in his pocket. I still can't believe he made it through half of the class, rolling around and doing all the other gymnastics things with those hard shells in his back pocket. OUCH!

So, I go to the door and motion for him to come to me. When he does, he reluctantly gives me his shells telling me it is "hunting day" and that he was going to need them later. This is definately Jason's son. Only those two would take their shells with them everywhere.

On a side note, we take the little guys to their 15 month check-up tomorrow. I will post stats tomorrow and hopefully a few pics too!

This may just be an attempt...

So, last night was Ladies Night Out (thanks Jason) and during our many fun discussions, the girls brought up Facebook, Myspace, and blogging. I just may be the least techno-savy of the group since I still have the blue face man as my picture on Facebook and have yet to post a pic to Triplet Connection, a site I visit daily and post on semi-regularly. I think just about everyone last night has a blog, or is a least a better "Facebooker" (my own term) than me, so here is my shot at jumping into this century.

Now, it probably would have been smart for me to start this last year so that I could have shared frequent updates on the triplets and Reid, but seeing as how the whole first year was a blur of formula, diapers, and me falling asleep any second I could, I thought that this year was as good as any. Plus, my mother and sister tell me daily that I should be writing a book of all the antics that go on at our house on a daily basis. "You could be rich" they tell me. Since I've never been good at finishing any journal, diary, or scrapbook I've ever started, I thought that blogging was just the thing for me--he he! We'll see where this thing takes me, but for now, maybe I will have some sort of journal saved up for the boys for when they're all grown up, since I've really failed at keeping up with their baby books. The last time I opened those, I had written in everyone's first tooth and now Chase has 10. I guess I'll just make up the dates for the other 9 since I have no idea exactly when they all came. At least Reid's book is somewhat complete.

Anyway, at least I've now started so that at the next Ladies Night Out I can feel like this old 30-something can hang with the 20-something girls! :)
